Past R.I. Director Floyd Olson Passes Away
It is with deep sadness that I report that Floyd Olson passed away at noon, yesterday, at the Franciscan Hospice in Tacoma. He was peaceful and Sandra was at his side. Floyd was 75; he was married to Sandra for 52 years and has been a Rotarian for 33 years.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 11th, at the Peninsula Lutheran Church, 6509 38th Avenue NW, Gig Harbor, Washington. R.I. President Wilf has asked that I attend Floyd's services as Rotary International's official representative.

Contributions can be made to The Olson Foundation through the Rotary Club of Gig Harbor. For contact information go to: www.gigharborrotary.com. The Club has created a foundation in Floyd's honor for the furtherance of his interests in Clean Water. Currently they have several major projects underway in Peru.

A PDF copy of a letter that has been mailed to Sandra in behalf of all the Rotarians and Rotary leaders from Zones 23-24 has been published on the Zone Website.
